Care Instructions for Frozen Items

GENERAL HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

Storage: Keep all products frozen at or below 0°F until ready to slack.

Thawing Guidelines: Place frozen products in a refrigerated environment (35-40°F) for a controlled thaw. Do not refreeze after thawing.

Best Practice: Use thawed products within 10 days.

 

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS

CHEF HAK’S MEATBALLS

Thawing Time: 24 hours in refrigeration. 

Shelf Life (Once Thawed): Use within 7-10 days.

REHEATING

Air Fryer: Remove meatballs from packaging and place in the air fryer. Heat on high for 8 minutes until heated through.

Microwave: Remove meatballs from packaging and place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 1 minute, or until heated through.

Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove meatballs from packaging and place on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Heat for approximately 8 minutes or until hot. Let sit for 1 minute before serving.

MEDITERRANEAN VEGGIES

Slacking Time: Keep frozen until ready to cook. Product should be cooked thoroughly to at least 165°F. For best results, do not thaw before cooking.

Shelf Life (Frozen): 2 years. 

REHEATING

Skillet:  Heat a skillet on medium-high heat with 1 tbsp. of oil. Add about 16 oz of vegetables and sauté for 6-8 minutes until heated through.

Air Fryer: Add 1 tbsp. of oil to the air fryer with up to 16 oz of vegetables, ensuring not to overcrowd. Heat on high (425°F) for 8 minutes until golden brown and heated through. 

Microwave: Add up to 16 oz of vegetables to a microwave-safe container and heat on high for 4-5 minutes until heated through.

MEDITERRANEAN CHICKEN

Slacking Time: 24 hours in refrigeration.

Shelf Life (Once Thawed): Use within 7-10 days.

REHEATING

Skillet: Heat a skillet over MEDIUM HIGH heat for one minute. Open the pouch and pour all the contents into the skillet. Saute for 3-4 minutes until heated through and the chicken is golden brown. 

Air Fryer: Open pouch and pour all contents into the air fryer. Heat on HIGH for 4-5 minutes until heated through and the chicken is golden brown. 

Microwave: Open pouch and pour all contents onto a microwave safe plate. Microwave on high for 1 minute, or until heated through. Chef's Tip: Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon on top!

STREET CORN MAC & CHEESE

Slacking Time: 24 hours in refrigeration.

Shelf Life (Once Thawed): 30 days.

REHEATING

Stove Top: open pouch and pour pasta into saucepan, heat on medium flame until hot, 5-6 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Once heated through, pour into a serving container and enjoy. 

Heat in Bag: Pour about 1 quart of water into a medium saucepan and place unopened pasta bag into the pot. Bring water to a simmer on medium heat and let sit for 5-6 minutes uncovered. carefully remove the bag from the water with tongs and cut open, empty into a serving container and enjoy. 

Microwave: Open pouch and pour pasta into a microwave safe bowl. Cover loosely with a paper towel. Heat on high for 4-5 minutes (times vary), stir halfway through. Let stand for 1 minute in the microwave. carefully remove it from the microwave and enjoy.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Food Safety: Always ensure products reach an internal temperature of 165°F before serving. 

Storage Best Practices: Keep thawed products in sealed containers to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. 

Quality Control: Inspect products for any signs of spoilage before use. If in doubt, discard.
