Going Organic!

From day one, I have wanted to create a company that not only focused on incredible and delicious food, but particularly food that I would feed my own family. Meaning: nothing crappy, no junk... Just real deal ingredients that I mindfully source and recipes that I carefully craft. I’ve been able to do that with every product I create but there is always room for improvement. 

Organic has been a goal for all of our products, but unfortunately not always a possibility. I have always been about sourcing the absolute best ingredients. That's what makes the difference between us and the other guys. However, there's only so much a customer is willing to spend. In order to bring our high quality products to market, they had to be at a price point that our customers would buy. Costs and supply chain means that organic equals higher cost no matter how you cut it. So needless to say, going organic in the BBQ category has been tough, especially compared to all of the other lower priced sauces that don’t prioritize quality.  

It has been a long road to get here but we are so proud to finally announce that our BBQ sauces are organic!  We've come to a place where we've scaled large enough to negotiate organic purchasing contracts with local suppliers. This put me in a great position to transition to organic without increasing our costs! I could not be happier about this change and I know our customers will be too. We are slowly transitioning from conventional to organic so it will take some time for Hak’s BBQ to be organic in all of our retailers and online. Currently, Whole Foods has fully transitioned to our organic line so check them out there. Soon Hak’s organic BBQ will be everywhere so keep your eyes open and your tummy’s ready!
