Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pork chops

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 medium fuji apple

  • 2 medium granny smith apples

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ cup of Chef Hak’s Smoked Maple Mustard BBQ Sauce

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp arrowroot powder or cornstarch

  • Optional: rosemary to garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a medium skillet, preheat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork chops to the pan, season with salt and dried thyme, and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side. Remove the pork chops from the pan.

  2. Slice your apples and add them to a bowl. Toss the apples with cinnamon so that they’re well-coated.

  3. Add a little bit more olive oil to the skillet, and saute the apples for 8 minutes, or until they are tender. Stir often to prevent sticking.

  4. To prepare the sauce, combine the Chef Hak’s Smoked Maple Mustard BBQ Sauce with water, apple cider vinegar, and arrowroot powder. Mix well to combine.

  5. Once the apples have started to soften, add the pork chops back to the pan.

  6. Pour the sauce over the pork chops and apples in the skillet.

  7. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 additional minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway.

  8. Garnish with rosemary, and enjoy!
