Ingredients:
-
1 lb pork chops
-
1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp dried thyme
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 medium fuji apple
-
2 medium granny smith apples
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
¼ cup of Chef Hak’s Smoked Maple Mustard BBQ Sauce
-
1/2 cup water
-
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
-
1 tsp arrowroot powder or cornstarch
-
Optional: rosemary to garnish
Instructions:
-
In a medium skillet, preheat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork chops to the pan, season with salt and dried thyme, and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side. Remove the pork chops from the pan.
-
Slice your apples and add them to a bowl. Toss the apples with cinnamon so that they’re well-coated.
-
Add a little bit more olive oil to the skillet, and saute the apples for 8 minutes, or until they are tender. Stir often to prevent sticking.
-
To prepare the sauce, combine the Chef Hak’s Smoked Maple Mustard BBQ Sauce with water, apple cider vinegar, and arrowroot powder. Mix well to combine.
-
Once the apples have started to soften, add the pork chops back to the pan.
-
Pour the sauce over the pork chops and apples in the skillet.
-
Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 additional minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway.
-
Garnish with rosemary, and enjoy!
